 Primary Responsibilities:

  • Enter prescriptions from intake to order completion and verify member/patient data
  • Contact patients, pharmacists, and doctor's offices as a liaison for the pharmacy team
  • Communicate clearly and concisely via phone and electronic methods to patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers
  • Contact patients to complete refill assessments, request payment information, established delivery details, and set up treatment in the Ambulatory Infusion Suite and/or other outpatient facilities
  • Access, input, and retrieve prescriptions and medical/lab information from computer system
  • Verify whether medication is reimbursable, and resolve rejected claims
  • Process prescription refills and interpret supply needs as related to various therapies
  • Resolve customer issues, ensuring accurate information is provided
  • Able to multitask and channel communication from various business partners, driving patient centric quality care
  • Follow all state and Federal regulations and Pharmacy Policies and Procedures, adhering to HIPAA and confidentiality code of ethics

Required Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Louisiana 
  • 4 years of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Windows PC applications including the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift to 30lbs
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) 
  • Previous Home Infusion experience
  • Pharmacy/prescription data entry experience
