[Responsibilities]
- Set up and operate horizontal, vertical, and universal milling machines for precision machining
- Perform advanced operations such as contouring, boring, gear, spline, and keyway cutting
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to plan machining sequences
- Select and install appropriate tooling, machine attachments, and set machine speeds/feeds
- Conduct layouts, precise measurements, and quality checks to maintain tight tolerances
- Use machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments
- Monitor machining processes and support quality inspections
- Follow established process control procedures and safety guidelines
- Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, and working overhead
[Required Skills and Experience]
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-5 years' experience in machining or related field
- Proficiency with horizontal, vertical, or universal milling machines
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering documents
- Familiarity with automated machinery and machining operations
- Physically able to perform strenuous and repetitive work
- Willingness to work any shift as required
