About the Role: A leading marine electronics company in Fort Lauderdale is seeking an experienced Marine Electronics Technician to join their team. This role is ideal for a candidate with hands-on experience in marine electronic systems, audio/video integration, navigation, and communication technology on yachts and vessels. The technician will install, maintain, and troubleshoot high-end marine electronics while ensuring top-quality service and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities: - Install, maintain, and troubleshoot marine electronic systems, including:
- Navigation systems
- Communication systems (VHF, LTE/5G Internet, satellite communication)
- Audio/Video systems
- Network and security systems on yachts and vessels
- Read and interpret AutoCAD designs and technical schematics.
- Perform on-site inspections and maintenance for new builds, refits, and system upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with NMEA standards and certifications during installations and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including photos and project notes.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate technical solutions to clients clearly.
Qualifications: - Minimum 5 years of experience with marine electronics systems, yacht networks, or marine audio/video systems.
- NMEA certification preferred; strong troubleshooting skills required.
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
- Must own tools, a reliable vehicle, and have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass background and drug screening.
- Must reside in the Broward County, FL area.
- Professional fluency in English.
- Ability to work some travel assignments as required.
