Job description

Salary:

Shift Schedule: Sunday - Thursday

Shift Hours: 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM EST

10% Shift Differential


Summary

The Assembler I is responsible to assemble, test, program, and pack on a variety of circuit board assemblies encompassing Pin Thru-hole and Surface Mount Technologies for Mack Technologies Florida, Inc. Reports to the Production Supervisor


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow assembly procedures and visual aide instructions.
  • Verify integrity of material to be assembled to the assembly procedure and/or visual aide instruction.
  • Assemble components (e.g. resistors, capacitors, connectors, sockets, etc.) in specific printed circuit board locations, following procedure and/or visual aide instruction.
  • Pre-form components leads per IPC standard, assembly procedure and/or visual aide instruction.
  • Wash printed circuit boards.
  • Inspect own work to ensure placement accuracy and completeness of work performed.
  • Understand and follow all applicable ISO and job specific procedures.
  • Identify and report defective components.
  • Perform pack out operations as required.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of work-in process associated with work cell.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of work area and surrounding work space.
  • Participate in Quality team meetings, as required.
  • Other responsibilities as directed and necessary for the business.
  • Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education.
  • Knowledge of component identification and component nomenclature preferred.
  • Electronic component assembly skills preferred.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 and IPC Standards.
  • ESD Training.
  • Ability to use various hand tools (pliers, rulers, cutters and pneumatic tools such as torque drivers, torque wrenches and screwdrivers)
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to read procedures, interpret visual aids, follow mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Basic computer skills, problem solving and workstation skills.
  • Experience with high-volume work.
  • Ability to operate in a multi-tasking, highly dynamic work environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education.
  • 0-3 years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly in the manufacturing industry.
  • 0-2 years of experience in coating application/manual spray environment, if applicable.
  • Ability to use various hand tools (pliers, rulers, cutters and pneumatic tools such as torque drivers, torque wrenches and screwdrivers)
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to read procedures, interpret visual aids, follow mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Basic computer skills, problem solving and workstation skills.
  • Experience with high-volume work.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
