Job description

Position Summary  
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join a fast-paced metal fabrication and manufacturing environment in Charlotte, NC. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and adjusting press brake machinery to bend, form, and shape metal components according to precise specifications and production requirements.  
The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints, measuring materials accurately, and maintaining quality standards while working safely and efficiently in a production-driven setting. Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to meet production goals are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare production equipment for operation by making necessary setup adjustments and assisting with equipment changeovers
  • Maintain quality standards and customer specifications by conducting first-piece and in-process inspections, completing production control charts, analyzing data, and making equipment adjustments as needed.  
  • Assist in training others for production job responsibilities by demonstrating operational procedures and best practices
  • Solve production process problems, make equipment adjustments, and report production and quality data. Communicate decisions and refer questions to the supervisor as necessary.  
  • Ensure the proper operation of equipment by adhering to preventative maintenance policies and procedures. Report needed changes and repairs
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements to perform the job safely  
Qualifications & Skills  
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 6 months experience
  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
  • Must be able to read and comprehend written instructions
  • Ability to understand and use basic math for measurements and calculations
  • Knowledge of using measuring devices
  • Ability to read and understand work orders
  • Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility  
  • Demonstrated reliable work history
  • Must be detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality in all tasks
  • Steel toe shoes are required. Additional PPE provided.  
  • Jeans or thick cotton pants, a T-shirt. No shorts or sweatpants
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Application Period: This position will remain open until filled
Work Schedule
  • 2nd Shift | 1:00pm-9:00pm | Monday-Friday | OT available including weekends  
  • Must be able to train on 1st Shift, Monday – Friday | 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM and then transition to 2nd shift.
