Job Description
Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab RN

Must-Have:
Moderate sedation with Versed/Fentanyl experience
Critical drip management
Monitor and circulate cases
Experience with all listed case types preferred
Description:
Level 1 Trauma Center and Level III Perinatal Center.
Teaching hospital and Magnet designated.
Comprehensive stroke center with 397 beds.
Facility has 3 Cath Labs.
Daily case load averages between 5-15 cases.
Case types include Diagnostic/Interventional procedures, LHC/RCH, NSTEMI, and STEMI cases.
Additional procedures involve Impella, IABPs, Rotoblator, CTOs/staged PCI, Shockwave therapy, and temporary pacers.
Cardiac Electrophysiology includes Micra, pacemaker, AICDs, lead extractions/revisions, and generator changes.
Charge RN is involved in cases.
Reception and hospitalist/physician support are available after hours.
Respiratory Therapy staff is present.
Technology includes EMR and IV pumps among others.
Shift times are from 0700 to 1730 with a scheduling cycle in 6-week increments.
Weekend coverage required through on-call rotations, needing 2 shifts in a 4-week schedule, with additional overnight shifts.
Response time for calls is 30 minutes, with no sleep room availability.
Holiday on-call coverage may be expected.
Scrub color will be provided.
