We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented IBM iSeries / Infor XA System Operator to manage and monitor our core ERP environment. This role is responsible for maintaining system stability, supporting batch processing, and ensuring backups and nightly operations are completed successfully to keep our manufacturing and business workflows running without interruption.About the Role and Your ImpactMonitor IBM i / AS400 / iSeries systems (QSYSOPR) for messages, errors, and hardware alertsApply program fixes (PTFs) and perform routine system maintenanceManage job scheduler and monitor active batch jobsTroubleshoot job failures, clear message waits (MSGW), and ensure nightly processing completes on timeProvide front-line support for the Infor XA (MAPICS) ERP environmentConfigure and maintain printer queues, output queues, and environment refreshesExecute and verify daily, weekly, and monthly backupsAssist with disaster recovery procedures and media rotationManage spool files, overlays, and forms/label softwareSupport third-party output tools such as TLA Barcode / TLA FormsDocument system activity and communicate issues to programming or infrastructure teamsWork with vendors and internal IT staff to maintain system hardware and softwareWho We're Looking For3+ years of experience operating IBM i / AS400 / iSeries systemsDirect experience supporting Infor XA / MAPICS ERPCommand-line proficiency (CL, WRKACTJOB, WRKSYSSTS, etc.)Familiarity with DB2 for i and basic SQL queriesUnderstanding of work management concepts, including subsystems, job queues, and memory poolsExperience with IBM Power hardware (Power8 / Power9 / Power10 / Power11)Working knowledge of TCP/IP, SMTP, and FTP in IBM i environmentsAbility to diagnose system, connectivity, and hardware issuesStrong documentation and communication skillsPreferred SkillsExperience with monitoring software (for example: Halcyon)Experience with replication / HA solutions (for example: iTera)Exposure to RPG programmingExperience supporting ERP systems in a manufacturing environmentWhy You'll Love Working at CoilcraftCareer stability at a privately held company with a 75+ year historyCritical role supporting core business and manufacturing systemsWork with experienced IT, engineering, and operations teamsHands-on environment with real responsibilityComprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401(k) with match, and profit sharingBenefits401(k) MatchingDental InsuranceDisability InsuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramFlexible Spending AccountHealth InsuranceHealth Savings AccountLife InsurancePaid HolidaysPaid Time OffProfit SharingVision InsuranceEqual Opportunity Employer: Disability / Veteran.
