Forklift Operator (Sit-Down & Stand-Up) | Temp-to-Hire | Elwood/Joliet, IL
Pay: $21.00 - $22.00/hr
Schedule: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shifts Available
Location: Elwood/Joliet, IL
Status: Temp-to-Hire
Now Hiring Experienced Forklift Operators!
PeopleShare is seeking experienced Sit-Down and Stand-Up Forklift Operators for a leading industrial distribution facility in the Elwood/Joliet area. This is an excellent opportunity for dependable warehouse professionals looking for long-term employment, growth opportunities, and competitive pay.

Shift Options & Pay
1st Shift
Monday - Friday
6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
$21.00/hr
2nd Shift
Monday - Friday
2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
$21.50/hr
3rd Shift
Monday - Friday
10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
$22.00/hr
Overtime opportunities available throughout the week and occasional Saturdays.
Job Responsibilities
  • Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts safely and efficiently
  • Load, unload, transport, and stage materials throughout the warehouse
  • Pick, move, and store inventory accurately
  • Assist with shipping and receiving operations
  • Follow all safety procedures and warehouse guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Support daily operational and productivity goals
  • Work effectively within a team environment
Requirements
  • Previous sit-down and stand-up forklift experience required
  • Ability to pass a forklift evaluation
  • Steel-toe boots required
  • Ability to lift and move warehouse materials as needed
  • Strong attendance and reliability
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment
  • Must be able to work the assigned shift schedule
Important Hiring Process
To be considered, candidates must be available to attend both of the following:
Facility Walk-Through: Monday at 11:30 AM
Orientation: Tuesday morning
Candidates who successfully complete the walk-through and orientation will be scheduled to begin work immediately following onboarding.
