Job description

Position Summary

Tacten is seeking a professional and forward-thinking Journeyperson Pipefitter to join our team at LNG site in Kitimat, BC!

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing maintenance team while working with industry-leading rope access technology. As part of this role, all Pipefitters will receive IRATA Rope Access Training and Certification to support maintenance operations at site.

Position Details:

  • Long-term maintenance opportunity with stability and career growth
  • Immediate start available
  • Local position based in Kitimat, BC
  • 40-hour work week with overtime opportunities
  • Salary range up to $58.00/hr. depending on certifications
  • We are able to offer up to 3 months of temporary housing to assist with your relocation transition, if required.
Responsibilities

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the project's startup's success by implementing innovative work techniques, fostering a collaborative environment, and driving advancements in our operations.

  • Installation and assembling of piping systems.
  • Interpreting blueprints and specifications to determine the layout and dimensions of the pipes
  • Identifying and fixing leaks, replacing damaged pipes, and performing routine inspections to ensure the integrity of the system
  • Testing and ensuring the quality of pipe installations
Requirements
  • Journeyperson Pipefitter Certification required
  • IRATA Level 1 or 2 certification or a willingness to obtain - training can be provided
  • Mechanical background and solid understanding of Hydraulic system pumps etc.
  • Current safety certifications as required by client and provincial standards in BC
  • Located in Kitima, BC or willing to relocate

  • Familiarity with LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) operations
  • Background in mechanical operations
