Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Temporary Event Assistant to support the coordination and execution of a multi-day event. This role is hands-on and fast-paced, requiring flexibility, organization, and a proactive approach to ensuring event operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with event setup and breakdown, including preparation of coffee stations and general event areas
  • Prepare, restock, and maintain coffee service throughout the day
  • Assemble, replenish, and distribute snack baskets
  • Support breakfast and lunch service by setting up, distributing meals, and cleaning up afterward
  • Monitor and restock beverages regularly to ensure consistent availability
  • Alphabetize and organize place cards for attendees
  • Assist with setup and coordination for the awards dinner
  • Distribute place cards during the awards dinner event
  • Prepare and assemble script binders as needed
  • Assist with organizing and lining up students for event activities
  • Distribute reader cards prior to commencement ceremonies
  • Assist with preparing white coats

  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions
  • Positive attitude and willingness to assist where needed
  • Previous event or hospitality experience is a plus, but not required

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry light to moderate to heavy items
  • Comfortable standing, walking, and performing active tasks throughout the day

Additional Information:

  • Must be available for the full duration of scheduled event days
  • One event day will require extended hours until approximately 9:00 PM
