This is a temporary assignment that begins January 2027. The adjunct instructor should be prepared to teach a range of courses within the Japanese discipline, mainly transfer-level First-semester and Second-semester Japanese courses, in a variety of instructional delivery modalities (such as face-to-face, online synchronous and asynchronous, hybrid), promoting engaging and inclusive education environments that support student learning, as well as supporting the department and college in incorporating a culturally responsive curriculum

evaluating progress of students concerning educational matters and grades student work; 4. meeting with students outside of class; 5. maintaining appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics; 6.

maintaining current knowledge in the subject matter areas; 7. fulfilling professional responsibilities of a part-time/temporary faculty member; 8. maintaining accurate academic records; 9.

performing other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualification-Education/Experience: Understanding of and sensitivity to the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, staff and faculty. EDUCATION: Master's in Japanese OR Bachelor's in Japanese AND Master's in another language or Linguistics OR The equivalent.
