We are Olsson. We engineer and design solutions that improve the world around us. As a company, we promise to always be responsive, transparent, and focused on results – for our people, our clients, and our company.

We're a people-centric firm, so it's no surprise our greatest asset is our people. The impact this creates is an environment that encourages our people to grow and be creative with their talents. This approach builds a culture that is uniquely Olsson. It allows us to grow our people as we grow our business. This, in turn, creates a lasting impact on the world around us.

Job Description

At Olsson, we are passionate about improving communities through expert engineering and design. Our people are our greatest asset, and we are committed to creating an environment where you can grow, lead, and make an impact.

Our Data Center team delivers multidisciplinary engineering and design services for some of the world's most innovative companies. These projects represent some of the largest and most complex infrastructure developments in the country, creating opportunities to solve challenging problems, collaborate across disciplines, and shape the facilities that support global connectivity.

We are seeking a Construction Administration Project Manager to help guide large-scale data center projects through the construction phase. In this role, you will connect design intent with field execution, coordinate across multidisciplinary teams, and help keep construction-phase decisions, documentation, and deliverables moving forward. You will build trusted relationships with clients and project partners while supporting quality, safety, schedule, and successful project closeout. This is an onsite role. You will represent Olsson at the project site, maintain a consistent presence during active construction, and help connect field activity with the broader project and design teams.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a primary connection between Olsson's design team, client representatives, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders during construction.
  • Coordinate construction-phase documentation, including requests for information, shop drawings, submittals, substitution requests, design packages, and related project records.
  • Review documentation for cross-discipline coordination, completeness, quality, and alignment with the design intent and contract documents.
  • Evaluate design changes and field conditions, coordinate technical input from the appropriate disciplines, and help assess potential effects on scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Lead or participate in project meetings, communicate decisions and action items, and follow through with the design team and project partners.
  • Track project progress, outstanding items, risks, and upcoming milestones while maintaining accurate and organized records.
  • Support project financial management through invoice coordination, change management, and monitoring of project budgets and schedules.
  • Conduct site observations as needed to monitor progress, identify potential deficiencies, and communicate findings to the appropriate parties.
  • Coordinate the resolution of technical and site-specific issues to help minimize rework, delays, and disruptions.
  • Support project closeout, including punch-list activities, final testing and commissioning coordination, record documents, and final deliverables.
Qualifications

You are passionate about:

  • Working collaboratively with others.
  • Having ownership in the work you do.
  • Using your talents to positively affect communities.

You bring to the team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, an associate degree with equivalent experience is required.
  • 4+ years of experience within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry with increasing project responsibilities.
  • 2+ years of project management, construction management, or construction administration experience, which may be concurrent with overall project experience.
  • Understanding of engineering and design terminology, construction processes, contracts, project financials, and relevant codes.
  • Strong communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships, navigate challenging conversations, and resolve issues across project teams.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and construction management platforms. Experience with Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Newforma, Smartsheet, or similar tools is beneficial.
  • Commitment to exceptional client service, quality, and safety.
