Description
Team Fishel , the Best Choice Employer in the Utility Engineering and Construction business, is hiring a Designer for our Professional Services Group's Chantilly, VA office.
The Designer will be responsible for working closely with Engineering, Right-of-Way, Land Survey, and Permitting teams to produce high quality utility construction plans. You will work on exciting projects for high-profile companies. This is an intermediate-level position and an excellent opportunity to employ your proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of utility design alongside the area's foremost industry professionals.
As a Designer, your responsibilities will include the following
  • Design pathways for telecommunication conduits
  • Create utility construction plans
  • Create permit drawings and traffic control plans
  • Efficiently manage schedules to ensure adherence to project deadlines
  • Revise plans as directed by Lead Designers & Supervisors

The successful candidate will have the following skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to read and understand construction prints
  • Demonstrated proficiency in time management
  • Desire to work in a team environment
  • Associates or Bachelors degree a plus

Qualifications
  • 1+ years of AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D
  • 1+ years of Telecommunications and/or utility design
  • Associates or Bachelors degree a plus

Starting pay $27 - $28 / hour depending on demonstrated experience.
