Job description

Responsibilities

  • Throughout the day, collect and launder used lab coats, mop heads, cleaning cloths, etc. to ensure the team(s) have a continuous clean supply available
  • Maintain laundry machines by ensuring the use of the appropriate detergent and cleaning the dryer lint trap after every load
  • Throughout the day, clean and sanitize facility areas including the Warehouse, QC lab floor, and kitchen areas
  • Safety and efficiently use the floor scrubber, performing regular equipment checks and escalating maintenance issues to the Facilities Manager
  • Regularly dust the Warehouse racking
  • Clean and disinfect handrails and touch point surfaces
  • Spot clean walls to remove any debris
  • Clean interior and exterior glass
  • Ensure communal trash and recycling receptacles are emptied and disposed of on a regular basis throughout the day and the week
  • Maintains cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards and follows work instructions and operating procedures set out by the company
  • Follow all company policies as described in the Employee Handbook and all safety procedures, and assist in maintaining a safe workspace
  • Complete all required paperwork and electronic documents
  • Notify management in case there is a need for repair or other interventions around facility
  • Ensure building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created
  • May be required to assist in cleaning the office areas (as required)
  • Other related duties as required

Requirements:

  • Annual WHMIS training
  • TDG Certification
  • Medical Clearance
  • Clear Police Background Check

Qualifications:

  • A minimum High School diploma or equivalent

This is a temporary 6 month position.
