Job description

You will serve as a PROGRAM SPECIALIST (COMBAT SYSTEMS/WEAPONS) in the Department of the Navy of COMNAVSURFLANT.Qualifications:To qualify for a GS-12, Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

- Experience as a subject matter expert on specific combat and/or weapon systems (e.g., AEGIS, Tomahawk, SM-6, CIWS) for the Program Office (e.g., PEO IWS, NAVSEA).
- Experience assisting in the development of acquisition strategies, program plans, and milestone schedules for new systems or system upgrades.
- Experience monitoring program execution to ensure that cost, schedule, and performance objectives are met in accordance with acquisition directives.
- Experience drafting and reviewing key acquisition documents, including Statements of Work (SOW), Capability Development Documents (CDD), and Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP).
