Job description

Pathway Group is a boutique staffing firm partnered with a privately held aerospace manufacturing company specializing in sheet metal fabrication and assemblies. This company supplies tens of thousands of aerospace components for commercial jetliners, defense, space, and security systems.
We are currently seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer with strong experience in CATIA and programming for 5-axis CNC machines. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of machining processes, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to support high-precision manufacturing operations. Experience working with HAAS machines is highly preferred.
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay Range: $29.00 – $38.00 per hour (DOE)
Key Responsibilities:
  • Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines using CATIA.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, blueprints, and specifications to develop accurate machining strategies and toolpaths.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, machinists, and production teams to improve setups and machining efficiency.
  • Design, modify, and improve fixtures to support manufacturing operations.
  • Troubleshoot machining and programming issues and make necessary program adjustments.
  • Ensure all parts are manufactured within tolerance and meet quality standards.
  • Maintain organized documentation for CNC programs, tooling, setup sheets, and process instructions.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of CNC Programming experience.
  • Proficiency with CATIA is required.
  • Strong knowledge of 5-axis machining and multi-axis programming strategies.
  • Experience with HAAS machines is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of G-code, cutting tools, feeds/speeds, and machining parameters.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Experience:
  • Background in aerospace, automotive, or other high-precision manufacturing industries.
  • Experience with additional CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam or CATIA
