Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Desktop Mac Engineer to support, manage, and enhance enterprise Mac environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with macOS administration, endpoint management, security, troubleshooting, and automation. This role will collaborate with IT teams to deliver reliable and secure desktop solutions for end users.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced technical support for macOS desktops, laptops, and enterprise applications.
  • Manage and maintain Mac devices using enterprise endpoint management tools such as Jamf Pro, Kandji, Workspace ONE, or similar platforms.
  • Perform macOS deployments, upgrades, patching, configuration, and software distribution.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and application-related issues for Mac users.
  • Develop and maintain Mac security standards, compliance policies, and endpoint configurations.
  • Create and maintain scripts and automation using Bash, Shell, or Python.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, certificates, encryption, and security settings.
  • Support identity management tools including Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, Okta, and SSO integrations.
  • Collaborate with security, networking, and infrastructure teams to resolve complex issues.
  • Document technical procedures, knowledge articles, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Provide Tier 3 escalation support for desktop and endpoint-related issues.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in desktop engineering or endpoint management.
  • Strong experience supporting enterprise macOS environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Jamf Pro (JAMF 200/300/400 preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of macOS administration, imaging, configuration profiles, and MDM.
  • Experience with macOS security controls, FileVault, certificates, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Experience with scripting/automation (Bash, Python, or PowerShell).
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications on macOS.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, Okta, and authentication solutions.
  • Experience with ITIL processes and ticketing tools (ServiceNow preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) or Apple Device Support certification.
  • Experience managing large-scale Mac deployments.
  • Experience in enterprise security frameworks and endpoint protection tools.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with executives and end users.
