Full Time/Part Time
Job Description
Assists with animal adoptions by introducing potential adopters to available animals, screening adopter applications, and handling animals during visits. Also provides animal care, feeding and walking as needed. Provides cage cleaning and facility cleaning as required
Duties/Functions
  • Provides animal care, walking, feeding and behavioral and medical observations.
  • Applies behavioral training and correction as needed
  • Observes and manages pet adoptions to ensure successful placement
  • Misc cleaning duties as assigned

Must be able to manage medium sized dogs up to 50 lbs

Department/Job Specific Requirements
  • Must complete dog walking and behavioral training
  • Must be able to handle dogs weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Must sign GCAS liability waiver form
  • Must be able to work up to 20 hours per week. Shifts vary from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and must be able to work one weekend shift each period.
  • Pay rate: $15.00

Physical Demands
  • Must be able to apply behavioral management techniques to animals while on leash
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
