Job description

Job Title: Aircraft Mechanic

**This position is located in Marana/Tucson, AZ**

Job Description

This role performs comprehensive maintenance, repair, and overhaul of commercial aircraft and components in a certified repair station environment. You will research technical data, disassemble and inspect parts, repair and reassemble components, and ensure all work complies with maintenance manuals, FAA regulations, and internal policies and procedures. The position focuses on heavy maintenance for commercial aircraft, supporting the full service life of a diverse fleet, including narrow- and wide-body aircraft.

Responsibilities

  • Research technical data and performs disassembly, repair, cleaning, adjustment, assembly, testing and calibration of aircraft components with company special tools and ground equipment in accordance with applicable maintenance manual, FAA regulations and Ascent Aviation policies and procedures.
  • Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft structures such as wings and fuselage, and functional components including rigging, surface controls, plumbing, and hydraulic units.
  • Upon removing units from an aircraft, engine, or other major component or subassembly, completes appropriate identification, inspections, routing tags and forms and makes appropriate entries into the Component Removal Log
  • Disassembles and inspects aircraft and engine parts for wear, or other defects
  • Repairs or replaces defective engine parts and reassembles and installs engine in aircraft.
  • Adjusts, repairs, or replaces electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft including cleaning, servicing, greasing, moving parts, and checking brakes.

Essential Skills

  • Airframe certification required.
  • 3–5+ years of aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Hands-on experience with commercial aircraft airframes in heavy maintenance, line maintenance, or MRO environments working on wide body aircraft

Shift

  • 1st shift, 6am to 2:30pm, Monday - Friday

Pay

  • $39/hr-$43/hr
