Job description

The SECU pledge: Be relevant and significant, day in and day out, in the lives of our members, employees and the communities we serve in a highly ethical and fiscally responsible manner.

What You’ll Do.

A Teller Services Representative does what a Teller does in a traditional bank, but through video and an Interactive Teller Machine (ITM – an upgraded and more personable ATM!). Our ITMs sit in Financial Centers throughout Maryland, and when a member needs a teller service – you are on!

You will offer full Teller services first by using your engaging smile and reassuring members you will walk them through the ITM technology to complete their financial transaction. You will use your inquisitive nature to discover financial needs and refer them to a financial center team member for further assistance.

You will handle financial transactions like deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and more. Although the ITM will count and verify cash for you, your attention to detail is essential. The ITM is just a machine and you are the machine operator bringing your own engaging personalization to every transaction!

How do you do this? It’s simple…you talk to members – because you are a person and that is what people do. Bring your curiosity and caring to work every day and let the member know you have his or her best interest at heart.

Who knew being a Teller could be so much fun and impactful? Whatever the occasion calls for, know that at the end of the day, you made a positive difference in the lives of those you touched. Purpose. Meaning. Heart. All differentiators at SECU.

What We’re Looking For.

  • Bilingual Spanish preferred
  • Genuine interest in well-being of those you serve
  • Exceptional service and relationship building skills
  • Ability to effectively engage humans using technology and automation
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Impactful decision-making and problem solving expertise

What You’ll Get.

Join Team SECU and become relevant and significant, day in and out, in the lives of our members, employees and the communities we serve in a highly ethical and fiscally responsible manner.

SECU is Maryland's largest Credit Union and our guiding principles define our culture. We are member centered and employee focused, know relationships generate outcomes, choose right over easy, and put the heart in banking.
