National Bank is currently seeking candidates for a full-time Teller position located in our Lynchburg Office. We offer a professional working environment along with great schedules. The successful candidate must enjoy a team atmosphere and be committed to providing outstanding customer service. We are looking for someone who has the desire to work closely with customers to help them succeed and reach their financial goals. The proper applicant will manage traffic flow in an efficient manner. Prior retail experience is a definite plus. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

 

  • Guide members through complex transactions with confidence, knowledge, and accuracy
  • Desire to build relationships with businesses and individual customers
  • Develop skills in all types of branch transactions including, but not limited to, night deposits, ATM balancing, and more in-depth system knowledge.
  • Balance cash drawers and prepare teller sheets
  • Use computer system to verify customer account status
  • Develop knowledge regarding bank products and services
  • Look for opportunities to promote bank services
  • Receives payment on all types of loans
  • Greet customers and receive or handle deposits of all types
  • Handle proportionate volume of work based on branch demands
  • Performing basic client service maintenance (account reconciliation, address changes, stop payments, account transfers, processing check orders)
  • Following policies and procedures to minimize risk
