Job description

About Amasian TV
Amasian TV is a free, ad-supported streaming platform (FAST/AVOD) delivering premium Asian entertainment to North American audiences. Our catalog includes Korean dramas, Japanese anime, Chinese historical epics, variety shows, and culturally relevant lifestyle programming.
We are in a high-growth phase and building an organic-first traffic engine to reduce dependency on paid media while strengthening long-term discoverability across web, CTV, and content ecosystems.
Position Overview
We are looking for a data-driven, analytical, and curious SEO Intern who wants real ownership - not just task execution.
This role will directly support organic growth initiatives across:
  • Website SEO (amasian.tv)
  • Content and editorial strategy
  • On-page optimization for title landing pages
  • App and platform discovery (Web + CTV)
  • Community-driven growth (Reddit)
  • Content performance analysis

You will work closely with the Growth Marketing Manager and Content team to improve search rankings, increase qualified traffic, and enhance user engagement.
This role combines SEO + content + community growth, giving you hands-on exposure to how modern media platforms scale organically.
Key Responsibilities
1. Keyword Research & Content Strategy
  • Conduct keyword research for Asian entertainment-related queries (e.g., K-drama, anime, Chinese historical series, etc.)
  • Identify ranking gaps and high-opportunity keywords
  • Build SEO briefs for content pages and landing pages
  • Monitor trending entertainment topics and search behavior
  • Support content ideation aligned with SEO and platform growth goals

2. On-Page SEO Optimization
  • Optimize metadata (titles, descriptions, H1/H2 structure)
  • Improve internal linking strategy across content and title pages
  • Analyze search intent alignment for content pages
  • Support structured data / schema implementation (when applicable)

3. Content Marketing Support
  • Draft SEO-optimized content (e.g., "Best Korean Dramas to Watch Free," "Top Anime Series Streaming Now")
  • Refresh and update existing evergreen content
  • Maintain keyword tracking and content updates
  • Support seasonal and trend-driven campaigns (e.g., new anime releases, holidays)

4. Community Growth (Reddit & Organic Channels)
  • Manage and grow Amasian TV's Reddit presence
  • Initiate and participate in discussions around:
    • New title releases
    • New channel launches
    • Trending shows and recommendations
  • Create engaging, non-promotional posts that drive awareness and traffic
  • Monitor community sentiment and trending topics
  • Identify opportunities to integrate Reddit insights into SEO and content strategy

This is a key growth area: leveraging Reddit as an organic discovery channel that complements SEO.
5. Performance Analysis & Reporting
  • Track rankings, impressions, CTR, and organic traffic
  • Support monthly SEO and growth reporting
  • Analyze user behavior (engagement, bounce rate, content flow)
  • Assist in testing SEO and content hypotheses

6. Competitive Analysis
  • Analyze competitor platforms (FAST, AVOD, streaming services)
  • Identify content gaps and backlink opportunities
  • Monitor industry trends in organic discovery and content consumption

What You'll Learn
This is not a passive internship. You will gain exposure to:
  • OTT platform growth strategy
  • FAST ecosystem positioning
  • Organic vs paid traffic economics
  • SEO + community-driven growth (Reddit, content distribution)
  • Content-led acquisition strategy
  • Search behavior in the entertainment vertical
  • Executive-level reporting and KPI tracking

Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Data Analytics, Business, or related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
  • Familiarity with Google Search Console and GA4 (preferred)
  • Basic understanding of SEO principles (preferred)
  • Strong written English skills
  • Interest in streaming, pop culture, anime, K-drama, or Asian entertainment is a plus

Preferred Skills (Not Required)
  • Experience with Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar tools
  • Familiarity with Reddit or online community platforms
  • Basic understanding of HTML structure
  • Experience writing SEO or editorial content
  • Data analysis skills (Excel, Google Sheets)

What We Value
  • Intellectual curiosity
  • Strategic thinking (not just execution)
  • Comfort working with data
  • Ownership mindset
  • Willingness to question assumptions

Why Join Us
You won't just "assist." You'll help build the organic growth engine of a streaming platform competing in a highly competitive FAST landscape.
You'll work at the intersection of:
  • SEO
  • Content
  • Community (Reddit)
  • Streaming growth

PERKS & BENEFITS
  • Catered lunch every day with varying local cuisines and a kitchen stocked with drinks and snacks.
  • Corporate parties, team bonding events, and much more!

If you're serious about growth marketing, this is where you learn how real platforms scale.
