Job Summary

Our Division of Ophthalmology and Optometry is expanding due to demand, and we are looking for an optometrist with significant clinical experience to join our team of ophthalmologists and optometrists. Our optometrists are responsible for providing comprehensive eye care to patients and performing routine eye exams. This includes diagnosing and treating visual disorders, managing eye diseases, and prescribing corrective lenses. You will work closely with patients to assess their visual health, offer treatment options, and educate them on maintaining optimal eye health. Practice locations include newly built clinics with state-of-the-art equipment and spacious lanes with separate testing and procedure rooms - a rare find in New York City!

Responsibilities

Our optometrists are responsible for providing comprehensive eye care to patients and performing routine eye exams. This includes diagnosing and treating visual disorders, managing eye diseases, and prescribing corrective lenses. You will work closely with patients to assess their visual health, offer treatment options, and educate them on maintaining optimal eye health. Practice locations include newly built clinics with state-of-the-art equipment and spacious lanes with separate testing and procedure rooms - a rare find in New York City!

Qualifications

Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry program

Active state optometry license

Valid CPR certificate

Two-plus years of optometrist experience preferred

Applied understanding of general principles of optometry and best practices for the diagnosis and treatment of eye-related disorders and conditions

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to patients of diverse backgrounds

Excellent customer service skills

Ability to maintain patient confidentiality

General computer proficiency

Demonstrated problem solving skills and multitasking ability
