Job description

Job Opportunity: Urologist

Our organization is currently in search of a Urologist to join our team. The selected individual will be expected to provide care in Martinsburg, West Virginia.

Qualifications
  • The candidate must possess an MD or DO degree, or an equivalent international qualification, and be eligible for a medical license in the state.
  • Completion of a Urology residency program is required.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Urology is mandatory.
  • All qualifications must be fulfilled prior to the appointment.
About Martinsburg, WV

Martinsburg is located in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, just over an hour away from both Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, MD, with proximity to three international airports. The area offers a rural setting with a lower cost of living, combined with convenient access to urban amenities. Despite being the fastest-growing county in the state, Martinsburg experiences minimal traffic congestion. The region has seen an influx of urban professionals from nearby metropolitan areas, fostering growth in telecommuting and high-tech sectors.

About the Health System

Our health system stands as the largest in West Virginia and is the state's primary employer. It has experienced substantial growth in specialty and sub-specialty care, including fields such as cancer treatment, heart and vascular care, and neuroscience. Notably, we operate the state's first and only multi-organ transplant center and recently inaugurated a new 150-bed Children's Hospital in September 2022.

Currently, the health system comprises over 3,400 licensed beds, 4,600 providers, and nearly 35,000 employees. With an 880-bed academic medical center in Morgantown, our network includes 25 member hospitals that serve a multi-state region.
