Rate of Pay: $184,558 to $226,800/yr

Telecommuting / working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policy.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the end-to-end development and delivery of an enterprise e-commerce platform, ensuring high availability, scalability, security, and performance.
  • Manage and mentor a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance, conducting performance reviews, and supporting career development.
  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of modular, cloud-native applications and microservices architecture.
  • Implement and optimize search and discovery functionality using technologies such as Apache Solr, Elasticsearch, or Oracle Endeca, including schema design, indexing, relevancy tuning, faceted navigation, and autocomplete.
  • Develop and maintain product catalog ingestion and indexing pipelines for structured and semi-structured data to support real‑time updates.
  • Ensure software quality through automated testing strategies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Drive Agile development practices, including sprint planning, backlog management, and cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Respond to production issues, lead root‑cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with product management, architecture, and design teams to align technical solutions with business strategy.
  • Manage release processes, deployment workflows, and ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.
  • Identify training needs, lead technical workshops, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 10 years of experience in the job offered or in an IT project management‑related occupation.
  • Experience managing and mentoring software engineering teams.
  • Strong proficiency in cloud‑native application development and microservices architecture.
  • Hands‑on experience with search technologies such as Apache Solr, Elasticsearch, or Oracle Endeca.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
  • Familiarity with Agile development practices.
