TGS provides scientific data and intelligence to companies active in the energy sector. In addition to a global, extensive and diverse energy data library, TGS offers specialized services such as advanced processing and analytics alongside cloud-based data applications and solutions.
Purpose and Scope:
  • Apply advanced geophysical principles to nodal seismic data processing using TGS proprietary tools.
  • Serve as the liaison between vessel onboarding teams, office analysts, and client representatives.
  • Ensure accurate, timely data delivery and alignment with project specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to onboard processing teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through innovation, problem-solving, and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute seismic processing workflows, including QC checks, database generation, and tool utilization (e.g., WKG SeisSpace).
  • Communicate technical findings to internal teams and coordinate with clients on QC and operational inquiries.
  • Modify or create processing flows to meet project and client requirements.
  • Support source mobilization and perform Near Field Hydrophone QC.
  • Uphold TGS QHSE Management System requirements and exercise stop-work authority when necessary.

Key Competencies and Skills:
  • Strong understanding of seismic theory, acquisition geometry, and processing workflows.
  • Proficiency in Linux environments and scripting languages (Bash, Awk, Sed, Python).
  • High emotional intelligence with strong communication and mentoring capabilities.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex data issues and manage tasks in rotational shift environment (10 hours, office).
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant physical science and 5+ years of imaging or offshore experience.

  • Accuracy and consistency of QC outputs and database integrity.
  • Timeliness and efficiency of data delivery and workflow execution.
  • Quality of communication and responsiveness to internal teams and clients.
  • Demonstrated technical growth, innovation, and process improvement contributions.
  • Compliance with QHSE standards and proactive identification of safety or operational risks.
