Position: Manager, Data Analytics

Job Location: 1375 Crossman Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94089

Duties: Leads medium and participates in large data analytics project teams and manages long-term, complex analytic projects by serving as a technical lead for analytics projects; works with project teams and business partners to determine project goals; partners with external entities; develops contingency plans for data analysis; determines modeling based on business needs; identifies the need for use of advanced analysis methodologies; develops case theories across business areas; develops assessments of key risks; prioritizes and executes work streams for highly complex or significant allegations; directs the analysis of data; gathers data and develops reports as needed; utilizes business knowledge to ensure data supports project goals; analyzes data based on identified variables; reviews data results to ensure accuracy; and communicates results and insights to the project team and business partners. Presents data insights and recommendations to key stakeholders by consulting with internal organizations; develops insights based on data analysis on highly complex or significant matter; develops big data modeling to identify vulnerabilities; applies analytical results to project goals; identifies trends and key insights; translates results into business actions; and presents insights and recommendations to key stakeholders. Provides data-based analysis and insights to drive investigative analytics strategy by coordinating the development of complete datasets needed to support project-level models; designs statistical or heuristic models for applications involving multiple statistical techniques and stakeholders; coordinates with internal and external customers to build consistent and accurate strategies for using functional area metrics; develops statistical or segmentation models; identifies critical factors influencing project objectives; performs analyses utilizing advanced software and techniques; evaluates and interprets results accurately; and presents conclusions, deliverables, and recommendations to stakeholders to support the business. Develops business intelligence solutions with customers and other system areas by ensuring solution testing and validation; oversees upgrades and release schedules for business intelligence and database products; manages production of scheduled regulatory reports; ensures requirements are met to support implementations; manages the compliance reporting database to ensure accuracy and completeness of the data; ensures development of system documentation; develops materials for state of the art user interfaces that enable business users to interpret trends and exceptions; and reviews change implementation before and after production installations.

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, or related field; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, or related field and 2 years of experience in conducting mathematical or statistical research, analysis and modeling intelligence, corporate security, or related area.

Skills required: Experience automating critical pricing workflows using SQL and Python, including data ingestion, transformation, and pricing model execution. Experience developing reusable scripts that improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Experience utilizing advanced SQL techniques to query, manipulate, and aggregate massive datasets from Walmart's enterprise data infrastructure. Experience scaling data anomaly detection models across multiple business units and developing effective pricing strategies. Experience developing business models to minimize impact of pricing fluctuations with Data science team for various business models and improve pricing recommendations. Experience designing and maintaining Tableau dashboards that track pricing trends, key performance indicators (KPIs), and competitive benchmarks. Experience providing regular performance updates to leadership, highlighting the impact of pricing strategies, experiment results, and market trends. Experience strategizing, implementing dynamic pricing algorithms and implementing it with data science and engineering teams. Experience integrating machine learning models that adjust prices based on customer demand, competitor behavior, and business objectives. Experience writing performant, scalable SQL code to work with extremely large datasets involving billions of records. Experience ensuring price consistency and accuracy across SKUs, platforms (mobile, desktop, app), and fulfillment methods. Experience monitoring competitor pricing data sourced from web scraping and syndicated feeds. Experience working closely with engineers to integrate pricing logic into production systems, ensuring end-to-end traceability and real-time execution. Experience testing and validating deployment of pricing tools in live environments. Experience analyzing price elasticity and customer behavior patterns to predict the impact of price changes on conversion, traffic, and margin. Experience incorporating findings into strategic pricing models and rules. Experience supporting seasonal and promotional pricing strategies by analyzing historical data, forecasting demand, and developing tailored pricing rules. Experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines to support pricing data flows from ingestion to reporting. Experience leading and analyzing A/B pricing tests to evaluate the effect of experimental pricing strategies. Experience measuring changes in customer behavior, profitability, and competitive positioning. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $104,000/year to $202,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
