Job description

Title:   Senior Software Applications Developer

 Job Location:  901 S. Bolmar Street, Suite G, West Chester, PA 19382 and various unanticipated worksites in U.S.

Primary Duties:

 Lead the design, build, test, and maintenance of scalable and stable off the shelf applications and/or custom-built technology solutions to meet business needs.  Capture and analyze functional and business requirements by coordinating with business users, analysts and developers.  Analyze and map business requirements and prepare the functional and technical design documents.  Coordinate the Unit testing of models and performance of defect analysis during development phase and pre-production stage to ensure code coverage and early detection of defects to minimize the time and cost impact.  Perform functional, backend, integration, regression, and/or smoke testing.  Facilitate user acceptance testing by the business users.  Provide release notes & status communications to the client, business & end-users.  Guide technical application support and defect fixing to ensure minimum disruptions to the end users and continuity of business processes.  Provide end-user support for software components and products.  100% telecommuting from home office is permitted per company policy to support New Era offices or clients throughout the United States.

Requirements:

Education:  Bachelor's degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in Computer Science or a closely related field.

Experience:  Must have at least four years of post-degree, professional experience in each of the following:

  • Working in software development role;
  • Software development domain and principles, including design patterns and code structure;
  • Building complex software and/or automation systems that have been successfully delivered to customers;
  • Developing and executing software test plans;
  • Using version control, bug tracking and issue reporting; and
  • Creating automation solutions and framework in various programming languages, such as Java, Python, C#.

       Within this, must have at least two years of experience using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Teamcity.
