Project Manager

Your Role at BSI

The Project Manager is the first interaction with our clients, and represents BSI in a positive manner, while executing technical projects for our industrial clients. Our Project Managers have an attention for detail, driving projects to completion while maintaining scope, schedule, budget, and maintaining a healthy balance of expectations between our clients and employees. The ideal candidate for this role will be comfortable and confident in front of clients, and has a natural desire to mentor others as they grow within our organization.

Responsibilities and Scope

  • Lead in proposal and estimate development.
  • Build and maintain client relationships; acts as the primary point of contact and meets with the client to assess project requirements.
  • Delivers final proposal to client.
  • Lead interactive planning sessions, create detailed work plan, and coordinate with appropriate staff for project execution.
  • Balance client and BSI needs/interests; manage expectations.
  • Coordinate project meetings as necessary; ensure proper documentation and communication to clients and BSI employees.
  • Facilitate positive team environment and maintain a solution-focused mindset.
  • Coordinate cross-discipline project teams.
  • Issue and deliver completed packages while meeting schedule and budgetary expectations.
  • Ensure package has followed checking procedures prior to issuance.
  • Ensure quality assurance and SOPs are followed through project execution; communicate status reports as necessary.
  • Regularly update project forecast and manage project staff to achieve project deliverables; provide direction when necessary.
  • Monitor the progress of the project; frequently analyze project scope, schedule and budget adherence.
  • Evaluate project progress for deviations and communicate any change orders to the client.
  • Ensure project is properly closed out upon completion of the effort and all documents are turned over to the client.
  • Manage any requests for information (RFIs) from the client, and ensure timely feedback is given.

 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field
  • Proven experience presenting to and communicating with clients
  • Previous experience in an engineering consulting role
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical or Food and Beverage industry preferred
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration to various audiences
