  • Strategic Leadership & Ownership: Serves as the senior operational lead for assigned Oracle Health/Cerner applications. Owns and drives the informatics roadmap aligned with organizational and clinical priorities. Leads complex, cross-functional initiatives including system upgrades, domain consolidations, new facility implementations, and integrations. Acts as a trusted advisor and leader on workflow optimization and strategy. Mentors junior analyst and team members and enforces build standards and governance frameworks.
  • System Design, Build & Optimization: Leads requirements sessions across all systems. Designs, configures, and optimizes test catalogs, compendiums, documentation, result reporting structures and workflows. Builds and refines rules, alerts, and auto-verification logic to improve accuracy and clinical efficiency. Ensures standardized, scalable configuration across a multi-entity health system. Continuously evaluates and improves workflows to reduce manual steps, errors, turnaround times and outcomes.
  • Integration & Interoperability: Collaborates with technical teams designing and supporting interfaces and middleware integrations. Partners with interface teams connecting EHR systems (Oracle Health/PowerChart), billing and revenue cycle systems, and state/public health reporting systems. Troubleshoots interface failures and resolves data integrity issues promptly.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Excellence: Ensures configuration adheres to regulatory standards (i.e. CMS, CAP, DNV, Joint Commission, etc.). Maintains audit readiness and keeps system documentation current and complete. Supports validation testing, change control processes, and downtime procedures. Promotes a High Reliability Organization (HRO) mindset across all systems.
  • Support, Reliability & Lifecycle Management: Analyzes operational inefficiencies and delivers measurable, sustained improvements. Leads upgrades, patches, and system lifecycle management activities. Provides Tier 2/3 escalation support for critical incidents. Performs root cause analysis and implements permanent fixes. Participates in on-call rotation supporting 24/7 clinical operations.
  • Project & Change Management: Completes assigned tasks within defined project scope, timelines, and budgets. Works to prescribe methodologies for all project and system implementations. Manages multiple initiatives simultaneously. Tracks issues and resolutions, adhering to escalation procedures. Identifies and communicates barriers to project success to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Data, Analytics & Performance Improvement: Enables analytics and reporting using Oracle Health native tools. Partners with analytics teams to ensure accurate data extraction and integrity. Supports turnaround time (TAT) analysis, quality metrics, and operational dashboards. Participates in the change control process, documents appropriately, and evaluates and validates system functionality while maintaining data integrity. Drives data-informed decision making within organizational leadership.

Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in appropriate Clinical specialty; Health Informatics or Information Systems (required).
  • Master's degree in a related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years supporting Oracle Health (Cerner) applications in a clinical environment (required).
  • Proven experience in multi-hospital or enterprise health system environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects end-to-end and drive measurable outcomes.
