Job description

Duties Description Under the direction of the Data Analyst 3 and Business Systems Analyst 4, the Data Analyst 2s will conduct data analysis tasks, which may include data cleaning, data transformation, data modeling, and data visualization. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Assist in generating reports and creating visualizations to present data analysis findings. This includes organizing and formatting data in a clear and concise manner, creating charts and graphs, and summarizing key findings for presentation to stakeholders.

Responsible for collecting and integrating clinical and behavioral health data from various sources, such as electronic health records (EHRs), patient surveys, and behavioral health assessment tools. This may involve working with data extraction tools, cleaning, and transforming data, and ensuring data quality and integrity. Assist in the coordination and implementation of United State Core Data for Interoperability (USCDI) Data Sets across OMH's larger application portfolio.

Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data by performing data quality checks and validations. This includes identifying and resolving data inconsistencies, conducting data audits, and implementing data quality improvement measures. Assist in integrating data from different sources to create a unified view of the data.

This involves working with data integration tools and platforms, mapping data fields, and ensuring data compatibility and consistency. Assist in the analysis of clinical and behavioral health data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, treatment plans, and programs. This involves measuring clinical outcomes, monitoring patient progress, and identifying areas for improvement in patient care and treatment outcomes.

Report to and collaborate with team members to understand data requirements, discuss analysis approaches, and share insights and findings. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including clinicians, psychologists, and behavioral health specialists, to understand their data analysis needs and provide them with relevant insights. This may involve participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and working closely with stakeholders to address their data-related questions and concerns.

Complete documentation on data analysis processes, methodologies, and findings for future reference. This includes maintaining documentation of data sources, data transformations, and analysis steps to ensure reproducibility and transparency. Provide support the DMI in any priority data analysis activities.

This includes assisting in data collection and preparation, conducting preliminary analysis, and providing insights and recommendations based on your analysis. Minimum Qualifications Non-competitive: seven years of experience* in data visualization, and statistical models and data mining tools. Substitution: An associate's degree may substitute for two years of general experience; or a bachelor's degree may substitute for four years of general experience.

A master's degree in data or computer science, informatics, economics, statistics, mathematics, or a related field, may substitute for one year of general experience; or a Ph.D. in these fields may substitute for two years of general experience.
