Work Location: Onsite Office work and Hybrid telecommuting will be option after 6-month introductory period depending on performance and company policy


About the Role:

The Bilingual Chinese Marketing Specialist - Foodservice & Ethnic role is responsible for assisting the Marketing group in developing marketing tactics for foodservice activations and ethnic sales support

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Communications, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience or equivalent exposure in a corporate environment, preferably within the foodservice, ethnic foods, or consumer packaged goods industries.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 30-50 lbs.

Skills:

  • Reading and Writing Mandarin and Cantonese
  • Comfortable with “numbers” is must
  • Strong MS Excel and PPT skills
  • Experience in Mailchimp, Canva, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator is a must.
  • Ability to see various trends from numbers
  • Strong creative writing skills
  • Team player and comfortable with having multiple supervisors
  • Willing to tackle any projects not limited by the job descriptions

Responsibilities:

  • Event Management: Assist in planning and executing national and regional food service events.
  • Marketing Strategy: Collaborate with the sales team and agencies to develop and implement various marketing tactics.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze marketing data and prepare a scheduled report to National Sales Managers.
  • Partnership Management: Collaborate with the vendor and various chef influencers to support partnership activities.
  • Sales Support: Prepare presentations and documents to assist the sales team in driving business growth.

Ethnic Marketing

  • Develop ethnic product catalogs for multiple group versions
  • Manage product registration for vendors
  • Design advertising creatives tailored to ethnic markets and retailers
  • Compile import data reports and monthly summaries
  • Collaborate with external agencies to develop and implement sales tactics
  • Support the ethnic sales team with marketing initiatives and activities
  • Create sales sheets and launch decks for retail and foodservice market
  • Attend an ethnic trade show
  • Assist in translating website content from English to Chinese
  • Any marketing support that Ethnic managers may need

Foodservice

  • Help assist research in Foodservice industry using AI-powered research platforms
  • Create email marketing content (Mailchimp) for Foodservice promotions and food shows, and provide monthly performance reports
  • Support in the execution of Foodservice trade shows such as preparing recipe cards, poster board, giveaway and other event materials
  • Work closely with the agency & vendor to execute PR & marketing strategies, ensuring consistent messaging and brand alignment across all communication channels in both Foodservice
  • Develop graphic and creative content for media placement."
  • Support ongoing marketing initiatives, aiding in the development of promotional materials and digital content
  • Deliver quarterly industry and sales intelligence reports to drive data-driven business decisions
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Manager and the Foodservice Sales Team to cultivate business relationships and identify new sales opportunities, assisting with lead generation and client outreach
  • Work with chefs to develop recipes, website content and webinars
  • Collaborate with culinary teams to create recipes, webinars, and engaging digital content, while managing ongoing website and product updates.
