Summary

Multiple Position Openings. Spire is seeking a Manager, DevOps Software Integration to oversee development and standardization of the middleware and platform solutions across the enterprise.  This role will be primarily responsible for oversight and direction for a team of specialized application engineers and middleware technologists that will continue to refine automation and provide best in class support for the wide range of critical applications that enable Spire's core business operations.  

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide leadership and clear direction in middleware automation and shared services platform technologies 

Oversee diverse pool of technical resources to ensure continuous delivery of work as planned accordingly in the agile development teams 

Maintain alignment with overall Product vision and roadmap to ensure capacity and resources support needs of development teams 

Close knowledge gaps and build highly skilled resource pools to support core technology solutions by enabling training and building strategic development plans 

Maintain collaborative partnership with leaders, as well as peers, to ensure timely resolution of pending issues, team performance is monitored, and objectives are realized 

Partner effectively with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to isolate any team level performance concerns, create remediation plans, and attend team ceremonies as needed to stay connected  

Set measurable performance objectives annually with a focus on career pathing and opportunities for individuals 

Supervisory Responsibilities

Direct supervision of large team of technical and analyst resources 

Required Education (certifications, licenses)
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or foreign degree equivalent).
Required knowledge, skill and abilities
  • 5 years of relevant experience.
  • 5 years of experience working on cross-functional, cross-geographical integrated systems and projects.
  • 5 years of experience playing an active leadership role in technology delivery and business analyst.
  • 5 years of experience with Middleware technologies, including Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g/12c, SOA, BPEL, OSB, WebLogic Server, Websphere, ADF, and UC4 (Automic).
  • 5 years of experience with application technologies, including customer care and billing, Maximo, Click Workforce Management, Hyperion, Oracle EBS, Powerplan, and Endur.
  • 3 years of experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), including working with Agile DevOps principles.
  • 3 years of experience working with the fundamentals of iterative and incremental development.
Physical demands, environment and schedule
  • Position allows for occasional telecommuting within a reasonable commuting distance of the reporting office in St. Louis, Missouri.
  • Position requires domestic travel less than 20%, including travel to Alabama, in order to meet with direct reports and peers, work on projects, and attend business meetings.
