Job description

Need Sr. Java Developer (5 positions) in Jersey City, NJ 07310

Mandatory requirements:

1. Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) industry OR large - enterprise organization experience like (AWS, Verizon, Oracle, Meta, etc.)

2. Experience with Automation and Selenium testing.

3. Employment type: Client is ONLY looking for candidates who can work on W2 basis, or C2C (Only on Own Corp not 3rd party) but client is unable to sponsor visa candidates at this time.

4. Candidates must be based in Jersey City and have prior onsite office experience. Fully remote candidates, including those in Jersey City without onsite experience, will not be considered.

We have a total of 5 openings for Java Developers with automation and selenium testing experience. We need candidate out of BFSI, with a Comp Sci degree.


There is a technical assessment: You will be extending test coverage for a transaction validation workflow by adding reliable parameterized checks for different input boundaries and browser-based form behaviors. As a candidate, you will demonstrate strong test design skills by validating key transaction outcomes in a clear, professional way. Skills tested: Java, SDET, Automation, Selenium.

Overview:

As an SDET, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through automation, testing, and collaboration. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge automation frameworks and contribute to high-impact projects in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience in software testing and automation (Senior Associate level) or 6 years for more senior candidates.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, and CI/CD platforms like Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Cloudbees.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java.
  • Strong experience with API testing using Rest Assured or Karate.
  • Knowledge of SQL and database query optimization.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall development methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience working in onsite/offshore coordination models.
  • Knowledge of additional testing tools and frameworks.
  • Staying current with industry trends and new testing methodologies.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 4 years of hands-on experience in automation testing and development.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with three days onsite in Coppell, TX.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, security, and privacy in testing processes.

Engagement Terms:

Work Location: Jersey City, NJ 07310

Hourly Rate: $55-65/hr. on W2 and $70/hr. on C2C (Only on Own Corp not 3rd party)

Employee Type: Contract until end of the year with some extension.

Work Model: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week

Duration: Contract through the end of the year, with a strong possibility of extension

Potential start date – 2 weeks to onboard. They are making offers fast
