Position Summary

As a Software Engineer on our team, you will design, develop, and deploy scalable APIs, microservices, and backend solutions that power modern patient-facing and enterprise applications. You will work closely with product managers, architects, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing integration services while modernizing legacy platforms and enabling seamless connectivity across healthcare systems.

In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining RESTful APIs, supporting system integrations, and ensuring solutions meet enterprise standards for performance, scalability, security, and reliability. You will also identify and remediate application vulnerabilities, implement secure coding practices, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance system quality and operational excellence.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to leverage enterprise-approved AI tools and AI-enabled development environments to streamline engineering workflows, accelerate delivery, automate repetitive tasks, and develop innovative solutions to complex business challenges. A strong understanding of AI agents, AI-assisted development practices, and emerging technologies will help drive innovation and productivity across the software development lifecycle.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable microservices and supporting backend components that deliver secure, reliable APIs for enterprise consumers
  • Build high-performance, resilient, and accessible APIs using modern development frameworks and best practices
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, architects, and engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions that meet business and customer needs
  • Modernize legacy applications by transforming them into modular, scalable, and maintainable architecture
  • Develop real-time capabilities, including event-driven messaging, notifications, and state synchronization across distributed systems
  • Ensure high code quality through comprehensive testing, automated quality checks, code reviews, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, security, and reliability in high-volume enterprise environments
  • Identify, analyze, and remediate application vulnerabilities and security findings, ensuring compliance with enterprise security standards and timely resolution of security risks
  • Design, develop, and implement AI-powered solutions that address complex business challenges while adhering to responsible AI principles and governance standards
  • Leverage enterprise-approved AI tools and platforms to enhance engineering productivity, accelerate delivery, and drive continuous innovation
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of AI agents, their capabilities, limitations, and practical applications within software development workflows
  • Experience working in AI-enabled development environments, utilizing AI-assisted tools and techniques to improve solution design, development, testing, and operational efficiency

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree or 4 years of equivalent software engineering experience
  • 3 years of experience with databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB) and caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis)
  • 3 years of experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (e.g., Docker or Kubernetes)
  • 2 years of experience with real-time systems (e.g., WebSockets, Socket.IO, or pub/sub architectures)
  • 1 years of experience integrating AI/ML models or Large Language Model (LLM)-based features into APIs

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred
  • Experience building patient-facing or healthcare software applications
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment
  • Experience with modern continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and automated testing frameworks

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The hourly pay for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
