Partner with the best

As a Senior Major Account Executive, you will be at the forefront of Akamai's Canadian strategy, specifically targeting the Telecom and Service Provider sector. You will be responsible for hunting new opportunities and maximizing revenue generation within a portfolio of Canada's most influential accounts. You will cultivate high-value relationships from network engineering to the C-suitepositioning Akamai as the backbone of their digital transformation.

As a Senior Major Account Executive, you will be responsible for:

  • Taking full ownership of revenue plan focused on dynamic "hunting" within Canadian accounts and expanding the footprint within the telecom vertical.
  • Identifying, qualifying, and closing new business by leveraging Akamai's security and edge compute portfolio to solve complex carrier-grade challenges.
  • Delivering compelling value propositions through in-person meetings across Canada, executive briefings, and high-impact sales activities.
  • Being a trusted advisor and leading an integrated account team delivering success in unique, regulated, evolving landscape of the Canadian market.
  • Championing and maintaining trusted, high-level relationships with key stakeholders and field teams through deep industry knowledge and business acumen.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 8+ years of relevant enterprise sales experience and a Bachelor's degree.
  • Demonstrate consistent history of exceeding quotas, driving sustained revenue growth by selling enterprise-class cybersecurity software, SaaS, cloud, or other technology solutions.
  • Have significant experience hunting, developing, and closing new business within large enterprise/strategic accounts, navigating complex sales cycles, expanding executive relationships, building long-term account value.
  • Possess extensive track record engaging and influencing senior leaders, CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, and other C-level executives, successfully navigating complex, multi-stakeholder and multi-year procurement cycles.
  • Have a proficient understanding of Canadian enterprise technology and cybersecurity market, including evolving security, cloud, infrastructure, and digital transformation priorities facing major Canadian organizations.

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The On Target Earnings (OTE, base salary + commissions) for this position ranges from 224,300 - 403,700 CAD/year; a candidate's OTE is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
