Job description


Avative Fiber (a majority-owned subsidiary of Strata Networks) is seeking a motivated and trainable Telecommunications Installation & Repair (I&R) Technician / Outside Plant (OSP) Technician to join our growing team in Saratoga Springs, Utah. This hybrid role combines customer-facing service work with hands-on construction and fiber installation tasks, helping us deliver reliable, high-quality connectivity to our customers.


Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

  • Provide friendly, professional, and respectful service to all customers
  • Ensure a positive customer experience during every installation or repair visit

Installation & Setup

  • Install cable from the exterior of homes to interior wiring/communications areas
  • Set up wireless access points to ensure full-home Wi-Fi coverage
  • Configure basic network equipment (routers, ONTs, radios)

Outside Plant & Construction Work

  • Assist with fiber construction projects, including:
    • Placing conduit in trenches
    • Pulling fiber through conduit systems
    • Installing fiber optic vaults
  • Support other physical construction and infrastructure tasks as needed

Equipment Installation

  • Install exterior wireless radios for customers
  • Perform ladder and roof work safely and effectively

Requirements
