Position Title: Software Quality Assurance and Automation Test Engineer - ADAS Controllers

Role Summary

The testing engineer will be responsible for defining, implementing, executing, and maintaining test plans and test cases to ensure the software is delivered with high quality. The engineer will work closely with software developers, requirement engineers and program managers throughout the product lifecycle. The testing engineer reviews requirement specifications and design documents, to understand the features and specifications for the efficient design of test cases to address the full spectrum of the requirements and quality. The automation testing engineers are expected to improve test productivity and system quality. In order to achieve this goal, automation testing engineers are responsible for designing and implementing highly efficient automation test infrastructure, as well as tools and test scripts to test the specific products and system automatically.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute black box test cases to validate basic functions of ADAS controllers.
  • Automate test cases using engineering test methodologies.
  • Maintain & improve documentation during and after testing.
  • Troubleshoot & investigate automated test and controller issues.
  • Ability to anticipate problems & issues and recommend solutions to problems.
  • Prepare test results and reports with the highest industry standard.
  • Ability to modify calibration and/or test script to meet the validation requirement.
  • Ability to use and develop test script and automation.
  • Ability to use AI tools in testing activities.

Requirements

Required Skills and Experiences:

  • Minimum two years of embedded software testing and testing automation experience in Automotive domain.
  • Experience with tools like Python and test automation methodologies.
  • Being able to write automation test scripts.
  • Experience with CAN/Ethernet communication protocols and test tools.
  • Experience with Calibration and/or Validation Development.
  • Experience in INCA/CANoe/ Vetor CANalyzer / Vspy.
  • Being able to troubleshoot controller test issues on HIL bench.
  • Experience in a fast-moving environment and capable of meeting stringent deadlines.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform test automation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Aptitude for learning and developing new skills as required.
  • Be able to fit in team well and enjoys being a good team player.

Preferred Skills and Experiences:

  • 5 years of embedded or controlled software testing experience.
  • Experience on Automotive controller testing, CAN/Ethernet communication, diagnostic, and cybersecurity.
  • RBS/Vector Canoe, ETAS & NeoVI familiarity.

Education and Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field.
