Job description

POSITION: Telecom Technician

DEPARTMENT: IT

REPORTS TO: IT Manager

FLSA STATUS: Hourly/Non-Exempt

Summary

Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Wiring Telecom Technician for Legends Global/Caesars Superdome | Smoothie King Center | Champions Square.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot telephone and data lines
  • Run CAT6 data cable and terminate and test
  • Set out telephones and data lines for events
  • Provide maintenance on various telephone closets and enclosures
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness in telephone/IT rooms
  • Track inventory of telephone and wiring and related supplies
  • Assist IT and Telecom Techs as necessary
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Must successfully pass a criminal background check
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Knowledge of telephone systems and simple data systems is a plus
  • Must be able to carry ladders and boxes of data wire
  • Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Education and/or Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent, college preferred
  • 1-3 years of working experience within telephone and data wiring preferred
