Here is what the role looks like:
AstheOSP Technician - Field ServicesI,youwillassistwith Outside Construction andMaintenance for GTA.In this role, you will perform general labor constructionduties and be exposed to all theoutside elementsdaily(hot temperatures or rain). Some of these duties includeheavy liftingof equipment and materials, trenching, laying conduit for fiber, cleaning job sites,or other general labor tasksas assigned.

  • Performdemanding physical tasks to include heavy liftingof materials and equipment, trenching, assisting with laying conduit for fiber
  • Work under adverse conditions(extreme heat, rain) and confined spaces
  • Usinghand and power tools such as shovel, hammer,or pressure washer, etc.
  • Applies safe work practices on the job
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Skill in the safe operation of motor vehicles
  • Other duties as assigned.

Here's what you need to have:

  • Minimum HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must have basic reading, math, and computer skills
  • Must have and maintain a current valid Guam Driver's License
  • Ability to follow all safety requirements
  • Ability to understand, read, write and follow oral and written instructions
  • Regular, punctual and consistent attendance; must be able to work any shift and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary to meet the needs and goals of the business.
  • Must be able to identify and distinguish colors
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces
  • Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions (extreme heat outsides, rain, cold) for a minimum of eight (8) hours or more per day
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds
  • Must be able to stand, walk on uneven surfaces, climb, stoop up to minimum eight (8) or more hours a day or up to ten (10) hours a day based on shift of 4x10
  • Must be able to work elevated heights 14ft or higher
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening
