Project ManagerOverview

Kimley-Horn, a national consulting engineering and planning firm and one of Fortune Magazine's 100 Best Places to Work, is seeking a Project Manager to join our growing Telecommunications team in Akron, Ohio.

Responsibilities

As Project Manager, the qualified individual will focus on Site Acquisition leadership activities for telecommunications projects and sites across Ohio and beyond.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field desired (or commensurate years of experience).
  • At least 4 years' experience in the telecommunication industry, specifically in a Site Acquisition role.
  • Experience with full-cycle Site Acquisition process for telecommunications projects.
  • Local experience with major telecommunications carriers such as AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, etc.
  • Strong experience with leasing agreements, zoning, land use permits, contracts, and policies relating to the Site Acquisition process for Telecommunications projects.
  • Experience with engagement and negotiations with property managers and/or owners.
  • Experience working with design teams (A&E, RF, Construction etc.).
  • Experience with tower location applications and processes.
  • Experience with local municipalities and jurisdictions including specific regional codes and standards.
  • Experience in presenting and speaking to the public and governmental entities.
  • Ability to document, vet requirements, and drive quality within a program or project.
  • Ability to negotiate cell site leases with any existing or potential landlords (e.g. public agencies, private corporations, private citizens and non-profit agencies).
  • Ability to read and comprehend legal documents such as legal descriptions, surveys, ground leases, easements, deeds, land purchase contracts, mortgages, title policies, subordination, and CAD drawings.
  • Business development and marketing experience desired.
  • Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage and mentor staff, and direct resources effectively in a positive manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably.
