MatkinHoover Engineering and Surveying is seeking a highly ambitious and experienced CAD Technician, to join our fast-growing Boerne, Texas team. The ideal candidate is talented, results driven, and looking to grow their skills.

MHES is a well-established engineering firm founded in 2002 in Boerne, Texas. MHES provides civil engineering design, land surveying and development services for commercial, residential, and governmental developments. Today, MHES has developed and grown into a full service, professional civil engineering & surveying firm supported by a strong force of experienced and dedicated licensed professional engineers, engineers-in-training, surveyors, CAD technicians, and administrative staff serving clients globally.


Typical Responsibilities:


A successful candidate will work harmoniously within a team environment on residential, commercial, and/or federal land development projects. Our CAD Technician's perform a broad variety of drafting duties utilizing Computer-Aided Design/Drafting (CADD) and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) in support of civil engineering design. Overall CAD work includes preparation of construction documents, supplemental exhibits, and subdivision plats among other duties. The employee is expected to exercise considerable judgment and initiative in the performance of their job duties. Opportunities for advancement in project planning, client coordination, and production coordination will be made available to candidates that meet client expectations by ensuring accurate, complete, and timely deliverables.


Requirements:


Associates Degree or Diploma in Computer-Aided Drafting and Design preferred.

Two years previous experience in civil site design, preferably land development


Qualifications:


Familiar with engineering principles, techniques, and procedures.

Experience in design and plan production.

Working knowledge of AutoCAD-Civil 3D and MS Office.

Effective communication skills, both oral and written.


Schedule Expectations:


40+hour work week or as required
