Summary:
Seeking an experienced Tele Stepdown RN to provide care for adult & geriatric patients in a 27-bed unit (Avg census: 26) with cardiac monitoring and high-acuity needs.
Patient Population:
COPD, GI Bleed, ESRD, Cardiac Dysrhythmias, Electrolyte Imbalances, Ventilator-dependent patients, Peritoneal Dialysis
Responsibilities:
- Cardiac monitoring & rhythm interpretation
- Patient assessment & care planning
- Medication administration & treatment
- Assist with procedures (thoracentesis, dialysis)
- Use of EKG, Zoll, lifts, VAC dressing
Requirements:
- 2+ years RN experience (Stepdown/Tele)
- First-time travelers considered (strong experience)
- MD RN License
- BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS
Unit Details:
- 27 Beds | Adults & Geriatrics
- Procedures: Peritoneal Dialysis, Bedside Thoracentesis
- Equipment: EKG, Zoll, Viking lift, Sit-to-stand, VAC
Schedule Notes:
- Every other weekend required
- Holidays as scheduled
- Floating required (sister/lower acuity units)
- No on-call
Scrubs: Dark Blue
