American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Phoenix, Arizona.

Description

American Traveler is hiring a Burn Tele RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry unit requiring telemetry experience and an active AZ or compact RN license.

Details
  • MS/Tele unit within a Level I trauma medical center
  • Burn unit specialty with plastics, skin grafts, and surgical drains
  • Patient ratio of 1:5 across days, weekends, and nights
  • Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
  • 13-week assignment length
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call requirements
  • Block scheduling not available
Requirements
  • Active AZ or compact RN license required in hand to apply
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 1 year of telemetry experience required
  • Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
  • Experience with central line, peripheral line, and PICC line care/management
  • Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs
  • Cardiac monitoring and emergency response experience required
  • Experience with IV insulin protocols and electrolyte replacement
  • Wound care and wound vac experience required
  • Complex wound care experience preferred
  • Ventilator and burn unit experience preferred
  • Trauma Level I hospital experience preferred
  • Epic charting experience preferred but other systems accepted
Additional Information
  • Provide bedside care to burn and telemetry patients including dysrhythmia monitoring and wound management
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Local candidates are not accepted; must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
  • Candidates may only apply to a limited number of open positions within this health system at one time
