Job description for Principal Electrical Engineer:

TEL San Jose Thin Films team seeks an experienced electrical engineer with expertise in applying RF design and electromagnetic principles to develop innovative deposition hardware. The ideal candidate should have design, simulation, and test experience in areas such as RF power delivery, RF match design, arc prevention, advanced fault detection, and tool-to-tool matching. The Principal Engineer is a subject matter expertproviding technical leadership and innovative solutions forhighly complex, multi-functional semiconductor hardware engineering challenges.In addition, the PrincipalElectrical Engineerdrives organizational strategy for hardware development and process advancements.

Prior experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus. Demonstrated data analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills are required. Skills in coding and applying machine learning/AI techniques to accelerate learning and productivity are strongly desired. Passion for technology; and strong collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills will benefit the candidate in this fast-paced results-oriented laboratory environment.

Requirements

Education and experience

Advanced degree (Ph.D.) in electrical/electronic/computer engineering or related fields with 8+ years' experience in electromagnetic processes (or)

Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic/computer engineering or related fields with 12+ years' experience in electromagnetic processes.

Responsibilities

Defines methods and procedures for fixing unprecedented technical challenges Leads projects involving multi-disciplinary teams spanning R&D, manufacturing, and customer collaboration globally. Develops innovative principles, engineering practices, and business process improvements related to semiconductor hardware and device technologies. Drive advanced failure analysis and validation strategies, ensuring rigorous safety, quality and reliability standards. Demonstrates exceptional technical leadership and communication skills and provides mentorship and technicaldirection broadlyacross the organization. Participates in high level strategic decision making and influences TEL's hardware product and technology roadmaps.

Ensures the successful delivery of business goals crucial to the company's strategicobjectivesand reputation.
