Ellie Mental Health is coming to South Florida in Pembroke Pines and is looking for a passionate Licensed PsyD or PhD to join our team!

Who We are Looking for?

Ellie is looking for a Licensed Clinical Therapist who will share our passion for improving and expanding access to quality mental health care and will thrive in a culture that emphasizes: autonomy, flexibility, creativity, authenticity, humor, compassion, acceptance, and determination. Opportunities are available for individual, family, couples, and group therapy services. The therapist will be responsible for performing clinical activities such as assessments and therapeutic services as directed by the treatment plan and/or identified client need(s). The ideal candidate will display compassion, education, proficiency, and experience with their clients.

What you will do:

  • Evaluate mental health diagnoses, psychological evaluations, create and implement treatment plans/reviews, supervisory billing, and complete clinical and billing documentation according to company policy.
  • Provide clinical interventions focusing on the reduction of symptoms and increasing the individual’s ability to perform activities of daily living.
  • Deliver excellent customer service for clients and collaborate with a dynamic team to further the mission of filling gaps in our community.
  • Utilize creativity in interventions to help clients accomplish therapeutic goals.
  • Collaborate with case managers, families, work personnel, medical personnel, other Ellie staff, and applicable site staff as needed.
  • Attend and participate in all clinical staff meetings and trainings.
  • Communicate and work with clients/other staff in a manner that demonstrates knowledge of cultural diversities.
  • Practice ethical conduct in all clinical and professional activities.
  • Comply with Ellie Mental Health policies and procedures, accrediting/regulatory bodies, and performance contract documentation requirements.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Master’s degree from four-year accredited college or university with a PsyD or PhD in a social, behavior, marriage and family therapy, or human service field, including but not limited to: psychology, counseling, human development, and educational psychology.
  • Clinical license through the State of Florida for one of the following: Psychologist (PsyD, PhD).
  • Licensed credentials plus one to two years of clinical experience post-Master’s degree.
  • Must maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License and be insurable under Ellie Mental Health policy.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply crisis intervention techniques.
  • Strong diagnostic skills, the ability to incorporate client history, symptoms, environmental and related issues to formulate proper diagnosis and treatment.
  • Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide clear, concise, and well-constructed written documentation.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work autonomously.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Prefer candidates with creative and innovative approach to mental health
  • Prefer experience with children, adolescents, and teens
  • Preferred experience with couples and families
  • Ideal candidates will have a general knowledge of therapy services, community resources, insurance billing
