Job description

We are seeking a skilled draftsman to join our team. 


The draftsman will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans based on the specifications given by engineers. 


These drawings will be used as blueprints to guide the technicians as to how to move forward with their job. 


Our ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, a good understanding of HVAC systems, Plumbing, and Electrical codes and regulations. A good understanding of scale when doing drawings. 


The role of the draftsman is to translate conceptual designs into a set of technical instructions for a project execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating detailed computer-aided design drawings as per the instructions and specifications provided by the engineers
  • Revising and updating existing drawings reflecting design changes
  • Ensuring final designs comply with regulations and quality standards
  • Collaborating with architects, engineers, and project managers to understand and implement project objectives
  • Checking drawings for mistakes and inaccuracies
  • Creating and altering construction sketches
  • Follow project schedules and deadlines
  • Maintaining organized work files and project documentation
  • Conduct site assessments to determine suitability for development
  • Ensure compliance with zoning laws, environmental regulations, and other legal requirements
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to mitigate potential project challenges


Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as a draftsman 
  • Proficient knowledge of Computer-aided design software and other drafting tools
  • Excellent technical design skills
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Diploma in drafting, engineering, or related fields
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in site planning or a related field
  • Knowledge of zoning laws, land use regulations, and environmental standards
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to conduct thorough site assessments and feasibility studies
