Eli Lilly and Company seeks a Sr. Scientist (R2-R3) to provide technical support for the manufacturing of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). Support the technology transfer and process validation of manufacturing processes in external manufacturing area. Execute technical projects to improve and optimize process control, yield, purity, and productivity. Perform process monitoring on the manufacturing data to assess process variability and identify process improvement opportunities. Author and review technical documents to translate process knowledge and control strategies into manufacturing documentation. Serve as the frontline technical services and active member of process teams to achieve project and manufacturing goals. #LI-DNI
Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Physical Chemistry or a related STEM field and 3 years of experience in GMP API manufacturing from TS/MS or Development organization. Experience must include a minimum of: 3 years of experience in cGMP manufacturing; 3 years of experience in small molecule API Manufacturing; 2 years of experience in process scale up; 2 years of experience in pilot plant pharmaceutical manufacturing; 2 years of experience in technology transfer of small molecule synthetic drug substance; 2 years of experience in process validation and data monitoring; and 1 year of experience in root cause analysis investigation at cGMP setting. Up to 20% of domestic and international travel is required. #LI-DNI

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is

$99,424.00 - $117,763.00 per year

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
