Job Summary


The Business Technology Sr Manager utilizes technical expertise, business acumen, strategic execution, relationship and leadership skills to lead a team in designing, developing, implementing and maintaining a set of interrelated technology platforms that deliver on the strategic technology and operational objectives of the Consumer line of business.

Technology Strategy & Leadership

  • Understand the business; build and maintain roadmaps that deliver business value; engage productively and influence partners
  • Build, advocate for, and maintain technology strategy for assigned business lines
  • Promote thought leadership and continuous learning

Team Leadership & Development

  • Effective Financial Management
  • Appropriate use of onshore/offshore mix

Project Leadership

  • Manage complex technology portfolios, including critical applications

Essential Functions

  • Manages a technology portfolio of greater complexity and breadth that requires frequent interaction and collaboration across a number of groups and technologies and generally includes 1 or more critical applications.
  • Utilize technology expertise, current industry knowledge and best practices, thought leadership and effective business partnerships to build, advocate for and maintain the technology strategy for one or more lines of business that delivers the business' strategic objectives and aligns to the enterprise's architectural standards. Brings emerging technologies and methodologies into the organization to assess potential and use cases. Demonstrates thought leadership and continuous learning.
  • Lead the implementation of one or more technology programs, some of which may span several years and may include obtaining senior-level (and sometimes executive level) sponsorship and steering committee approval; from the development and configuration of application(s), to testing and implementation; delivers in alignment with the applicable measures of success and milestones and management methodology; escalates risk/concerns appropriately and leads with corrective/mitigating actions; communicates appropriate updates on work progression.
  • Oversee the management of 24/7 production support of applications including vulnerability remediation and risk management to corporate SLAs.
  • Manage, develop and ensure the engagement and effective execution of a small to medium size team which may include business analysts, project managers and/or scrum masters, engineers, developers, external resources and vendors against line of business or functional technology deliverables. Emerging as a leader for attracting and developing internal and external talent.
  • Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice
  • Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key's clients and Key.


Education

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
  • OR equivalent experience (required)

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $116,000.00 - $216,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
