Job Summary:
Suncap Technology is a company seeking an IT Support Technician to ensure the proper functioning of computer hardware and software. The role involves providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining cybersecurity protocols.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure our technologies are accessible and equipped with up-to-date hardware and software.
• Provide support to employees at our various locations in Canada and the United States in person or remotely.
• Troubleshooting our hardware, software, and network operating systems.
• Be able to respond quickly to critical issues.
• Learn and know all Neptune hardware and software.
• Install, upgrade, and evolve hardware and software.
• Be able to examine or replace parts on computers.
• Provide guidance to new users on existing technologies.
• Train new users on our existing and future technologies.
• Active Directory Management
• File Server Management
• Maintain inventory of computer equipment and licenses including maintenance contracts
• Document outages and troubleshoot issues.
• Perform other related duties as required during or outside regular working hours.
• Be able to travel as needed to do work at other sites.
• Ensure that antiviruses and anti-malware are installed and updated on all computers.
• Ensure that no user is an administrator of their computer.
• Ensure all operating systems are at the right version, supported and patched automatically.
• Ensure that no illegitimate software is installed on computers.
